Guide To Packaging Your LEGO®
Using The Right Packaging
It is important to use the right cardboard box for shipping. Using boxes that are too big, or too weak could mean your package gets damaged in transit.
Please send all items in a box, and not bubble envelopes or poly-mailers. These will not provide adequate protection of your items. Ensure the box you are using is sturdy and thick, ideally a double walled box is preferable. Make sure all flaps on the box are secure and folded correctly to provide the best protection to the top and bottom of the box. Please ensure your box is within the dimensions stated below.
The maximum dimensions you can have for a Royal Mail medium parcel parcel box is 61cm x 46cm x 46cm (610mm x 460mm x 460mm) with the maximum weight being 20 Kg.
How To Properly Secure Your LEGO®
Make sure that your loose LEGO is packed in its own plastic bag. Once you have your items bagged up, wrap them appropriately with some bubble wrap or newspaper for example. Ensure that there is no empty space, if there is empty space, use scrunched up paper, or any other box filler to fill the empty space. If you leave space within the box, items will tend to move in transit therefore making them more prone to damage.
When sealing the box use strong parcel tape to avoid the package opening during transit. We will not take responsibility for damage in transit where a box has not been packaged securely.
Apply The Postage Label
Shortly after you have submitted the form you will receive an email with a prepaid Royal Mail shipping label.
Print out the label onto A4 paper and cut out the label. Securely attach the label to the top of the package using strong tape ensuring that you do not obstruct the details on the label. Make sure all other labels have been removed from the box. You can find your nearest Post Office drop off location here.
