Reduce waste by selling your unused LEGO®

The humble LEGO brick is one of man greatest feats. Its robust locking technology means it can be put together to form magnificent rigid builds, as tall or as wide as you can imagine. It can also be taken apart with very little little pressure from ones thumb and index finger. Amazing really when comparing the size and weight of individual LEGO pieces.
Many of us have played with LEGO at some point in our life's, however for most the life cycle is fairly short.
I'm being fairly ambiguous with this poor display of a flowchart but you get the idea. The lifespan remains fairly short with buying brand new LEGO sets and replayability is difficult due to the lack of 'Playing LEGO'. I reference pieces like bricks, plates and wheels as playing LEGO as its is generally the easiest thing to pick up and build from.
Some LEGO sets are highly complex and will generally feature more specialty pieces like ramps, tiles and connectors. These pieces are not always the most convenient to pick up and play.
Represented above is the infinite life cycle of buying and selling preloved loose LEGO. The process is more cost-effective, streamlined and kinder to the environment. Buying pre-loved LEGO from bootsales, charity shops or of specialty LEGO business like us means you get great playable LEGO at very affordable prices.
Because LEGO is also one of, if not the biggest toy brand in the world means it will always have hold high values. When you do finally get bored or have run of of room for your loose LEGO you can all sell it back to businesses' like us, stick it on eBay or donate to charity shop. As said LEGO holds true value and you could potentially get back what you paid for it.
We can all do our part in protecting our environment and reducing our carbon footprint. We should all be limiting how much LEGO goes to landfill for a variety of reasons and focusing more of our efforts into how we can recycle and reuse.
LEGO is made from Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene (ABS) Plastic - a very strong versatile plastic. As well as LEGO being made from ABS, most of your household appliances will have some forms on ABS plastic on them too. ABS is strong and durable, impact resistant, lightweight and heat-resistant. This is why LEGO pieces have such a high life span.
Although efforts and innovation for recycling ABS has improved over the years it generally does not biograde very well nor is it is easily recyclable. Therefore filling up more unnecessary landfill.
The price point of LEGO currently means its tailored more as a luxury product and I know they have sets ranging form a few quid to a few hundred to cater for everyone , but It just doesn't seem you are getting full bang for your buck.
By reusing and recycling loose LEGO not only makes it affordable for all and its helps keep the cycle of the LEGO brick going. Moving from house to house and person to person. The journey never ends for the humble LEGO brick.
